Opinion of the stay
The location of the hotel is not far from the city center, near the river and metro station. Hotel staff very nice and friendly. I liked the information in the booking confirmation and the information about the possibility of waiving the daily cleaning of the room and the use of these funds for an animal shelter.

The old Berlin city wall is a fascinating relic from Berlin's medieval history. It was built in the 13th century and originally served as a protective wall for the cities of Berlin and Cölln, which were considered sister cities at the time. The wall covered around 2.5 kilometers, was made of field stones and bricks and had defensive towers and gates, such as the Spandauer Tor and the Stralauer Tor, which controlled the entrance to the city. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the wall was partially demolished to make room for the growth of the city. Nowadays, many visitors can only admire the remains of the landmark, especially at the Parochialkirche in Berlin-Mitte, which still carry the history of the past. Discover the remains of the old city wall and combine your walk with a tour of the historic Nikolai Quarter - a place that brings Berlin's medieval history to life.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Berlin, located on an island on the River Spree, is one of the most important cultural highlights in the world. It houses masterpieces from antiquity to the 19th century. One of the most famous museums is the Pergamon Museum with impressive archaeological finds from antiquity, such as the Ishtar Gate. The Altes Museum displays ancient art collections, including sculptures such as the so-called Berlin Venus. After extensive restoration, the Neues Museum presents important Egyptian art, including the famous bust of Nefertiti. Majestic architecture and collections of sculptures and Byzantine art can be admired in the Bode Museum. The Alte Nationalgalerie delights lovers of 19th century European painting, with works by artists such as Caspar David Friedrich and Claude Monet.
The Berlin TV Tower is one of the city's most famous landmarks. At a height of 368 meters, it is not only the tallest building in Germany, but also offers a breathtaking view of the Berlin skyline. Built in 1969, it was originally used as a transmission mast for East German television and has now become one of the most popular attractions for both locals and tourists. The TV tower is located on Alexanderplatz, one of the most central and lively squares in Berlin. Visitors can take the elevator to the 203-metre-high viewing platform and enjoy a 360-degree view from there. On a clear day, the view stretches as far as 40 kilometers. We would also recommend a visit to the rotating “Sphere” restaurant, which offers an impressive panoramic view and culinary delights.
The Brandenburg Gate is an important symbol of Germany's contemporary history and was built between 1788 and 1791 in the neoclassical style. At that time it was intended to mark the entrance to the city of Berlin, but today it is considered an architectural landmark of Berlin with its majestic columns and impressive quadriga. During the Cold War, the Brandenburg Gate stood in the restricted area between East and West Berlin and became a symbol of the division of Germany. After the fall of the Wall in 1989, it now represents the reunification and freedom of Berlin and, as a historical monument, is a central meeting point for visitors from all over the world. The gate is located on Pariser Platz and is in close proximity to other famous sights such as the Reichstag and the Tiergarten, making it the perfect place to spend a day exploring.

At Berlin Fashion Week you can marvel at the latest fashion trends and the Long Night of Museums shows you Berlin's nocturnal art scene and history. Sports enthusiasts get their money's worth at the Berlin Marathon, one of the largest running events in the world, which takes participants along the city's historic sights. The modern event location “Uber Arena” complements Berlin's event offerings as a large modern arena with concerts, shows and sporting events.
