True to the motto “Everything is better hand in hand”, we have joined forces with “Green Globe”.

In short: Green Globe is our gentle (but firm) kick in the backside to think, act and plan greener and smarter as a company in order to offer our guests a sustainable vacation in our Living Hotels.
Green Globe is not just a certificate, it is our mentor: the program promotes ideas that emerge from within a company - whether from trainees or hotel managers. If you have a good idea, share it. Is it environmentally friendly, feasible and in line with Green Globe? And above all, do you and your team want to implement the idea with heart and mind? Then get to work! Because only when everyone pulls together will ideas become real solutions for a sustainable vacation.
We think this approach is fantastic, which is why we have been working hand in hand with Green Globe for green tourism at Living Hotels since 2017. We had the first nine hotels certified in 2018, with the rest following at the beginning of 2019.
- 100% green electricity for all hotels and the hotel headquarter
- In order to fulfill our social responsibility, we offer a cleaning waiver in most hotels
- Determining & offsetting the CO₂ balance for business trips
- Use of recycling paper in all hotels since 2018
- Disposable cups have been abolished
- Selected hotels offer e-charging stations (with green electricity, of course)
- We breed bees on the roofs of two Living Hotels
- No more disposable batteries, we rely on rechargeable accus
